Today I ordered a few prints of some of the pictures I've taken this past year in hopes of selling them at Forza Coffee Company, where I work. My boss Donna has graciously granted me some free wall space in order to display them for a month at a time. If response is good I'll probably keep making prints of pictures as I take them and might even expand to other coffee shop wall as well!
I'm starting with two, some of my first ever serious pictures taken in good ol' Sterling, America around campus there where I went to school for a bit. I personally like them but, that doesn't mean much. Even if no one buys them I like the idea of my photography being displayed to the general public. Posting them on my blog here and on Flickr are great, but there's something awesome about the fact that my photos are now tangible. It's a big deal to me.
When I got my camera as a high school graduation gift I had no idea that I would be this into it. I love being able to take pictures and show people how I see the world. My only complaint is I have all of this beauty surrounding me, a wonderful camera, and NO TIME!!!! I'm still taking pictures more often than ever before but I still wish that I had more time. Hopefully though I'll find more chances to clip a few pictures as I'm rushing from one thing to another.
Well I'm off to pick up my prints and head to work. If you live in Spokane head on up to 29th and Regal to check out my prints in person! If you're interested in buying prints of these or any of the others on my Flickr stream please email me and let me know sizes and which ones. Thanks!!
