Unfortunately for finals week, the only mood I'm finding here is the stereotypical, northwest coffee shop vibe. Sitting next to me is an anonymous couple doing some form of studying over porcelain cups of coffee. If I had to guess by their attire at how they got here, I'd have to say bicycle. At another table studying under lamp light is another college student feeling the pressures of finals. Yet another table brings two bearded men together discussing the lack of snow over two steaming cups of loose-leaf tea. And then there's me, sitting at my table listening to Northwest Hip-Hop, typing away on my netbook and sipping a rather yummy hazelnut latte.
My table at Atticus today. |
Atticus Coffee & Gifts is one of those places that has millions of those little trinket type deals that you'll never find anywhere else. Not to mention an entire wall full of loose-leaf tea blends emitting wonderful and melodious scents. This place is more or less designed to halt any and all chance of production I might have had upon walking in, and I love it!
In an attempt to get some actual studying done I'll cute short my shout-out here leaving you with this little tidbit of Spokane knowledge:
If you ever have the pleasure of coming to Spokane (and I don't mean that completely sarcastically) you definitely need to stop in to Atticus, grab a cup of coffee or tea and take a look around. Even if you don't leave with anything except a paper cup of warm beverage warming your hands, you'll have enjoyed yourself.
After that of course you need to come see me up on the South Hill at Forza Coffee Company and get another cup of coffee and I'll even include one of my world famous abstract latte art images (in all reality they're getting better!).
Happy finals weeks Spokane students, good luck!
Cheers,
