10 Books Down, A Library to Go

Today, as I crossed of the latest finished book from my reading list, I realized that it was my tenth book of the year.  Not a bad accomplishment when you take into account the 16 credit hours at school and 30 hour work weeks.  So know I am currently trying to decide which book from my list to crack open next.  I'm trying to keep up on it because for some funny reason, books seem to get added to it faster than I can scratch them off :)

I'll read just about anything that seems interesting, and definitely everything that people will recommend to me.  I'm huge on the culture of "book-sharing", when people recommend books that they're currently reading and say, "It's great, I'll let you borrow it when I'm finished."  Kindle is a great thing, but it does somewhat put a damper on this cultural phenomena.  Therefore I try and split my reading between second-hand hard copies and Kindle books simply so I have a few to pass around.

That being said, if anyone in the area would like to borrow any of the books crossed off of my list; let me know. If you would like some recommendations check out the list or shoot me a tweet or leave me a comment for something not on it.  If YOU have any recommendations for me, do the same thing and send me a tweet or leave a comment and I promise it'll go on the list.

Before I sign off, I'll leave you with a little bit of advice that, while a trifle cliche, still holds a lot of water in today's fast-paced society: Take a little time - something like an hour a week - sit down on the sofa or your favorite chair and crack a book.  You might be surprised how stress-relieving it is to immerse yourself into an entirely different world for a change.  One where you have no responsibility or agenda save for to observe and enjoy! Try it, I dare ya....

Until you read again,
Connor
